Dr. Bozena B.Wrobel, is a rhinologistand endoscopic skull base surgeonat theUSC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at theUiversity of Southern California in Los Angeles.She completed an Otolaryngology Residency at the University of Colorado, followed by fellowship in Rhinologyand Chemosensory Disorders at the UNMC with Donald A. Leopold, M.D. She also did mini fellowship in endoscopic skullbase surgery with Peter J.Wormald, M.D. ( Adelaide University,Australia). She joined the Faculty of the USC Department of Otolaryngology in 2004 and additionally holds the Faculty appointment at the USC Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Wrobel is the Director of theUSC Rhinology, Allergy and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery. With neurosurgeon Dr. Gabriel Zada she is involved in USC Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery and Endoscopic Skull Base Center.Dr. Wrobel is the Past President of the Los Angeles Society of Otolaryngology. She serves on Editorial Board of American Journal of Rhinology andAllergy. Dr. Wrobel has been the Director of USCCME courses: USC Advanced Endoscopic Sinus and Anterior Skull Base Courses for practicing otolaryngologists and neurosurgeons for last 14 years as well as co-director of USC annual residents courses in endoscopic skull base surgery both for otolaryngology and neurosurgery residents for past 6 years. She also started and has been very instrumental for the sinus courses at the rhinology center in Kajetany, Poland. Dr. Wrobel’s medical practicies oriented toward rhinology, complex disorders of the paranasal sinuses and endoscopic skull base surgery (ESBS). Her research includes ESBS approaches, advanced endoscopic frontal sinus surgery (Lothrop procedure), chemosensory disorders of smell and taste and simulation models for carotid injury and CSF leak in ESBS.
